The TANFAC Industries Ltd., situated in the SIPCOT Industrial Estate here has bagged the “Good industrial relations award” for 2006 and 2007.

The award, instituted by the Labour Department of the State government, is being given in five categories based on the number of employees. The TANFAC has earned the awards in the under-500 workmen category. The company, a joint venture of the Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation and the Aditya Birla Group of Companies, is mainly into production of aluminium fluoride.
