The Southern Railway today announced the rescheduling of Tamil Nadu, Grand Trunk and Rajdhani Expresses due to late running of pairing trains.

The New Delhi-Chennai Central Grand Trunk Express (2616) scheduled to arrive Chennai Central this morning at 0615 hrs was expected to arrive Chennai Central at 1600 hrs this evening.

Consequently the Chennai Central-New Delhi GT Express (2615) scheduled to leave Chennai Central at 1915 hrs today was rescheduled to leave Chennai Central at 2230 hrs tonight.

The New Delhi-Chennai Central Tamilnadu Express (2622) scheduled to arrive Chennai Central at 0710 hrs this morning was expected to arrive Chennai Central at 1700 hrs this evening.

Consequently the Chennai Central-New Delhi Tamil Nadu Express (2621) scheduled to leave Chennai Central at 2200 hrs tonight was rescheduled to leave Chennai Central at 0200 hrs on January 10.

The Nizamuddin-Chennai Central Rajdhani Express (2434) scheduled to arrive Chennai Central at 2015 hrs on tonight was expected to arrive Chennai Central at 1200 hrs on January 10.

Consequently the Chennai Central-Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express (2433) scheduled to leave Chennai Central at 0610 hrs on January 10 was rescheduled to leave Chennai Central at 1800 hrs on January 10.

The Railways also announced the following special trains to clear the extra rush of passengers.

The Chennai Central-Kollam Special (0635) would leave Chennai Central at 1815 hrs on January 14 and arrive Kollam at 1145 hrs, the next day.

The Kollam-Bangalore City Special (0636) would leave Kollam at 1345 hrs on January 15 and arrive Bangalore City at 0430 hrs, the next day.

Advance reservation for the above trains would commence tomorrow, a Railway release said.
