Enrolment commences in Nagercoil


NAGERCOIL:

Minister for Tourism and Registration N. Suresh Rajan inaugurated the enrolment of beneficiaries of the ‘Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme’ at Therisanangoppu near here on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Suresh Rajan said the poor, unorganised sector labourers, farmhands, whose annual income was below Rs. 72,000, could join the health insurance scheme, which would be a boon to the deprived, who could get quality health care from leading hospitals.

Since the State Government had allotted Rs. 518 crore for the programmeto benefit 4 crore beneficiaries, the poor should join this scheme, he appealed.
