CUMBUM: Voters should not sell their votes for money. The DMK is depending on its money and muscle power to win the election.
Such a belief should be shattered in this mid-term poll.
People should show it that they could not be bought under any circumstances, said the Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam president Vijaykant.
The DMDK leader kick started his second day of election campaign at Ramasamynaickenpatti near here on Monday.
Showing a pair of dhotis and saris, Mr. Vijaykant questioned: “Will this poor quality dhoti and sari worth roughly Rs.100 solve all your problems? Will it slashes prices of essential commodities or solve unemployment problems or provide better education to your wards at affordable costs. Nothing will happen.”
Hitting hard on DMK candidate, Mr. Vijaykant said Mr. Ramakrishnan too did not respect voters. Hard work of the AIADMK and the MDMK in the general Assembly election was in vain. He resigned his MLA post for his personal benefits.
Braving torrential showers, Mr. Vijaykant campaigned for his candidate R. Arun Kumar at Kamaya Goundenpatti. The crowd remained in tact till he finished his speech. Crowd was impressive at all villages.
