The Andhra police have revealed some shocking news that how the drug peddlers and actors are connected. The drug peddlers do not sell the drugs with the name opium or cocaine.
They are naming the drugs after the actresses who are hot in the market. Selling this way these peddlers have minted Crores of rupees.
It seems businessmen are interested with the names that are titillating. Anushka who is hot in Andhra and Tamil Nadu is the name of the drug called Ecstasy.
For drug opium they have named it as Trisha. The police have also informed that they have found out that 8 actors and actresses are involved in this drug affair and in a short time they will be conducting enquiry and submit a report.
Tamil cinema industry gets the remake fever

Tamil cinema industry is said to be getting into the remake fever these days, as they are nearly four flicks being remade in Tamil. The four flicks are being remade from tollywood and Bollywood. According to sources, the movies are ‘ Vaanam’ which is a remake of telugu flick VEDAM , ‘ Siruthai’ which is a remake of telugu flick ‘ Vikramarkudu’ , Inidhu Inidhu’ which is a remake of telugu flick ‘ Happy days’ and an untitled film, which is going to be a remake of bollywood super hit ‘Partner’.
Presently, Partner is in the discussions and is said to include a big star playing the lead. The movie will go onto floors from November this year and will be officially announced after October 1st week. There will be a slight script change in the remake in Tamil and actor Simbhu and Kamal Hassan are rumored to be in the lead cast of this film.
The other three projects, named above, will be a carbon copy of Telugu films, as any kind of serious changes in the script may affect their run at the box office. So, only few changes will be witnessed and that too according to the tastes of Tamil cinema audiences. Due to lack of gripping scripts, the Tamil directors are opting for remakes.
Whatever may be the reason, if these movies offer entertainment to the audiences, then it will be a great achievement to the film directors.
Jyothika in Karthi’s Anushka as Siruthai?

Karthi’s upcoming film Siruthai is fast rolling on floors and is reported to have completed a couple of schedules. As known earlier, the film is a remake of yesteryear Telugu blockbuster Vikramakudu featuring Ravi Teja in dual roles with Anushka as the female lead character.
The original version has Ravi Teja enacting dual roles as police officer and other one as a petty thief while Jyothika played wife’s role of cop. However, not an even single scene brings Ravi Teja and Jyothika together as she is portrayed as his dead wife. She is spotted in the medium-sized photo frame adored with garlands.
Those who have already watched Vikramakudu are curious to know about the actress replacing Jyothika’s photo. Well, one cannot expect the same actress to reappear as Jo happens to be his elder brother Suriya’s wife. In Tamil film industry, it remains as a sentimental factor as audiences wouldn’t accept such portrayals in reels.
It is more or less the same as Bollywood’s expectations on Mr. India-2 as Anil Kapoor and his bhabhi Sri Devi played lead characters in its prequel.
Singam releases on this May 28

If the current buzz is to be belived its going to be a fun way to end the summer vacations. Surya’s much expected movie Singam is expected to release on May 28th.
The movie rights had been acquired by Sin Pictures and they had planned to release the movie in the first week on June. According to souces, it looks like they are going to prepone the date by a week so that the families can enjoy a good movie together before the vacation ends for the kids and they are back to Schools and College.
Sources also add that the audio of the movie will be released on May 11th. Singam is Suriya’s 25th film and is directed by Hari with Anushka as his heroine.

Good news for Suriya’s fans

Good news for Suriya’s fans! The rights of the movie have been acquired by Sun Pictures, which indicates that it is going to be a surefire success. Plans are now afoot to release Singam’s songs during mid-May and the film in June. Sun Pictures, which is on a film acquiring-spree will release Vijay’s Sura released today (April 30th 2010). With one gap between the release of these films, movie buffs can expect adequate promos of Singam on the Sun Network.
Singam, which is directed by Hari, has music scored by Devi Sri Prasad. Anushka has been paired opposite Suriya for the first time.
Poonam Bhajwa learns Yoga

Perhaps taking the cue from Anushka, who is a Yoga master, Poonam Bhajwa is now learning the art from a renowned master in Mumbai, say circles close to her. And not just Yoga, she is a regular to gym too, they add.
Confirming this, the ‘Thenavattu’ and ‘Kacheri Aarambam’ actress says, “I always wanted to keep my body and mind fit. So I am learning Yoga besides practicing at a gym near my house. These things help me feel fresh all the day.”
Poonam is currently acting in ‘Thambikottai’ opposite Narain. “I don’t believe in accepting films unless there is enough scope for the role I play. So I am choosy about offers and this is the reason behind not acting in many movies at a time.”
On ‘Thambikottai’, she says, “It is an action movie however with a message. How a pair of lovers unites two warring villages, forms the crux of the story. I am hopeful that ‘Thambikottai’ will take me to heights.”
Thamanna replaced Anushka in Karthi film

Actress Anushka sizzled with her uttermost skin show in Telugu version of ‘Vikramakudu’ and she was supposed to star opposite Karthi in Tamil remake as well. On the spur of moment, she was replaced by Thamannah as Karthi had recommended her intensely.
As known earlier, the film is produced by Karthi’s uncle K.E. Gnyanavel Rajan under the banner name of Studio Green Films. It seems that Karthi had developed a great relationship with Thamannah in during the shooting of ‘Paiyaa’.
The film started rolling before few months and is now fast on the heels of completing first schedule. Debutant Siva has handled story, screenplay, dialogues and direction with Santhanam taking on the role of Brahmanandam.

Anushka’s second innings is very good. Don’t think this as cricket we mentioned Anushka’s re enter in Kollywood. She feels happy about her second innings in Tamil cinema is Anushka, so to say. For the actress, who expects more offers from Kollywood, is planning to buy a house in Chennai to make herself feel comfortable, we learn.
“Anushka has approached a few real estate dealers and asked them to find a posh apartment for her in and around Vadapalani. Things are going on in a fast track and she would buy a flat soon,” sources say.
“All that Anushka wants is a house with all comforts of the modern day urban life but without any compromise on the safety front. She is even planning to host a simple house warming ceremony once the dealing is over,” they add.
Anushka, a popular actress in Tollywood, entered Tamil film industry with ‘Rendu’, the Madhavan starrer directed by Sundar C. After a few years gap, she bounced back with ‘Arundhathee’ and ‘Vettaikkaran’.
