Actor Dhanush has admitted in a private hospital

Actor Dhanush has been admitted in a private hospital in Chennai. The usually cheerful actor was suffering from high fever for a couple of days and was hospitalized on Sunday (Sep 5). Many would have noticed that Dhanush was seen off color in Superstar Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya’s wedding. In fact, Dhanush did not attend the reception at all. Dhanush will be in the hospital for two days after which he may be discharged, according to doctors.

Dhanush is currently acting in his brother director Selvaraghavan’s next movie which is titled ” Maruvan “. According to the crew, Dhanush has been suffering from fever for quite some time now. His co-star in Maruvan, Hansika Motwani is also down with fever.

Cloud Nine may change the title of Jeyamravi’s Ich

Two films with fancy small titles are contemplating how that will be received. One is Pushkar-Gayatri directed ‘Va- Quarter Cutting’ and the other is Prabhu Deva directed ‘Ich’. Both films are backed by reputed banners, Cloud Nine Movies and AGS Entertainers respectively.

While speaking at the audio launch function of ‘Va- Quarter Cutting’, Dhayanidhi Alagiri of Cloud Nine Movies categorically said the title of the film is only ‘Va’ and Quarter Cutting’ is just a tag line. He also said ‘Va’ is a clear Tamil title and hoped it will pass through all stipulation and regulations (Read tax exception for Tamil titles).

For the Prabhu Deva directed ‘Ich’ there may be a decision soon to change the title. Apparently people feel the ‘Jayam’ Ravi and Hansika Motwani starrer title is not Tamil enough for obvious reasons. What could be the new tile? Sources say they have a long but catchy title ‘Ennai Vittu Odi Poga Mudiyuma’ under consideration. We like it.

Both the films are at the final stages and will hit the theatres this year. ‘Va’ had its music release last week and ‘Ich’ is all complete but for two songs.

vijay’s Velayudham in Andhra

Velayudham is a film produced by Aascar Films V Ravichandran and has Vijay in the lead role. The film is progressing in a rapid pace. The first schedule of the film took place in Chennai for 15 days.

A mammoth seat was erected at a cost of Rs 1 Crore to shoot a song sequence. A song sequence featuring Vijay and Hansika was shot in these sets for 8 days.After this the film is being shot in Golconda in Andhra Pradesh The stunt master Selvam has shot a stunt sequence featuring Vijay and stunt men.

The shooting is going on there. Genelia, Hansika, R Pandiarajan, Santhanam and Sathyan are sharing the screen with Vijay. Priyan is handling the camera while Vijay Anthony composes the music. Jayam Raja is directing the film.

STR reviving ‘Vaaliban’ movie in London

STR aka Simbu aka Silambarasan is reviving one of his pet projects that is laid lame for different reasons at different times. The actor who is also a director is keen on reviving his pet project ‘Vaaliban’.

Silambarasan currently busy in London shooting for ‘Podaa Podi’ has started working on ‘Vaaliban’ revival even as he is busy in London. He has invited all the key probables involved in the scripting of the film to London and is discussing the film.

Sources say, Silambarasan has even completed a photo session for ‘Vaaliban’ with his favourite photographer specially flown to London.

The story of ‘Vaaliban’ is rumoured to be about the second love of a man who failed in his first. Sources also say the film will have shades of Simbu-Nayantara affair which was a well talked about affair few years ago.

Meanwhile, the buzzing Silambarasan will fly down to Chennai for 20 days of work to complete the under production ‘Vaanam’. Soon after finishing ‘Vaanam’ Silambarasan will go back to London for ‘Podaa Podi’ and of course to complete the scripting of ‘Vaaliban’ in London itself.

Suhani: Study is important for myself

Suhani who made her debut in the film Irandu Mugam is waiting for the release of her second film Appavi. Suhani who says that she has got introduction in the film Irandu Mugam has the confidence that she can carve a niche for herself in Tamil cinema.
She gives priority to education than acting. She who had completed her B Com is going to pursue her Business Management course in Chennai and Poona. When asked her why she is doing courses at the same time, she said,” I am going to do MBA in Chennai and a diploma course in Poona.
There will be no continuous shooting for me throughout the year. I will be acting in one or two films in a year. One month is enough for me to study.
I am like a cricket champion. One month is enough for me to prepare for my examinations. I can score good marks. I secured 85% in my B Com examinations. There is no problem for me to do two courses at a time.”

Priyamani joins Sumanth

National award winning actress Priyamani will be the heroine opposite tall and handsome hero Sumanth in his forthcoming Telugu film to be directed by debut director Vigisipi Vishtaa and produced by Kumar Brothers. Vimala Raman will the second heroine. The shooting of this untitled film is already on and the crew has left for Bangkok to can some important scenes and three songs in their last schedule.

“This is a triangular love story gelled with comedy and family sentiments. Though the theme may sound outdated, the director gave it an altogether new touch, which would not disappoint audiences. The role played by Sumanth is varied in its presentation,” the producer said.

Also in the cast are Ali, Sayaji Shinde, Hema, Giribabu, MS and others. Music is by Koti and cinematography by John. The movie is expected to grace screens during Diwali.

Lekha Washington role in Va – Quarter Cutting

Lekha Washington was not seen in the Kollywood circuit after Jayamkondan. Enquiries revealed that actress was flooded with sister roles after starring in that film and hence decided not to don such roles in Kollywood. However, she shifted base to Bollywood and will soon be seen sharing the screen space with Amitabh Bachchan apart from a few other films.

The wait in Kollywood has also turned fruitful as Lekha is the main protagonist in Va – Quarter Cutting. Speaking about her role in this film, Lekha says that she plays a 19-year-old with suicidal intentions.

Gowtham Menon says that he is polishing the screenplay

Gowtham Menon after Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya had readied one detective story and was waiting for Ajith. The film was supposed to be produced by Dayanidhi Azhagiri.

All the crew including the cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa who had worked for Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya was also waiting. Gowtham Menon was also busy in selecting the heroine for this film. But after Asal, Ajith became busy with Formula car races.

All of a sudden Ajith started acting in Venkat Prabhu’s film Mangaatha from August 2nd. The trailer of this film was also released. Neethu Chandra is pairing with Ajith.

Gowtham Menon who was waiting for Ajith lost is patience and has said that he doesn’t need Ajith anymore. He has also lambasted Ajith openly in his recent interviews. Now Gowtham Menon has commenced his Hindi version of Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya.

It seems that the shooting of the detective film which was meant for Ajith would commence in January. Gowtham Menon says that he is polishing the screenplay and wanted to make this film a hit. He is to start this work soon.

‘Endhiran’ movie release confirmed for this month

This news may be a relief to many producers who are yet undecided whether to release their films in September. While the ‘Endhiran’ mania was holding the breath of many films big and small ever since the audio launch of the film, there was no confirmed date of release from the makers of ‘Endhiran’.

Some at first said ‘Endhiran’ will be released on September 3 and later they themselves postponed the date. Some even had the news saying the post production and re-recording will take more time and so the film will be a grand Diwali release.

Now it has been officially announced that ‘Endhiran’ will release in September. As the first week has already gone and second week is in front it is all likely ‘Endhiran’ will release either on September 17 or September 24 for sure.

As the D-day has been announced officially you can expect a lot of frenzied action and reaction in Kollywood in the coming few days.

Sana Khan Enters Tollywood

After appearing in a couple of movies in Hindi and Tamil including Silambattam (2008) and Thambikku Indha Ooru (2010), popular model turned actress Sana Khan is debuting in Telugu.

She will be the heroine opposite Telugu hero Kalyan Ram in an untitled movie to be directed by Malli under the banner of Kalyan Ram’s production house Kalyan Ram Arts. Saranya Mohan of Village Lo Vinayakudu fame will play Kalyan Ram’s sister in this flick. More details are awaited.
